Miley (born Destiny) told Elvis Duran on iHeartRadio's Label Defiers inaugural podcast on Tuesday: 'Never read anything that anyone says about you. Don't Google yourself'

During her appearance on iHeartRadio’s Label Defiers podcast, Miley (whose real name is Destiny) advised listeners to avoid reading anything said about them and to refrain from googling themselves.

Cyrus said: 'I think the way people judge you or people would write articles on me when I was a kid going through the times of having crazy breakouts or going through break ups or whatever I was going through, people would treat me like I could handle those comments as an adult, like I had this thick skin'

Cyrus pointed out that during her youth, people often judged her and wrote articles about her based on her struggles with breakouts and breakups. She felt that others believed she could handle harsh comments like an adult, expecting her to have thick skin.

She continued: 'I think it makes you jaded, it makes you guarded, and I don't ever want [Noah] to get like that. Or your style or the way that you think because you want to please people. I really hope that she never feels those pressures and I hope other people respect her and don't actually make her something she's not'

She went on to say that she doesn’t want her son, Noah, to become cynical or protective due to the pressures of trying to please others. She hopes that he can remain true to himself and that others will appreciate and respect him for who he is.

Expressing her gratitude, Miley enthusiastically shared her excitement about being nominated for two Teen Choice Awards. She emphasized the importance of loving and being loved in return, encouraging her young fans to vote for her. She believes that the youth are the future and is honored to be considered for the awards.

In the upcoming season of The Voice, Miley will be returning as a coach for the 13th season. The show is set to premiere on September 25 on NBC, with fellow coaches Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton.
